Hey there, fellow wanderers! Fancy a weekend filled with delicious food, rich history, and a healthy dose of 'craic'? Then pack your bags for a 2.5-day escape to Dublin.
Kick off your adventure on Friday night at The Winding Stair, a literary haven turned restaurant. Here, savor the taste of fresh, local Irish ingredients while overlooking the iconic River Liffey. Post-dinner, tuck the kiddos in bed (don't forget to arrange a local babysitter!) and enjoy a traditional Irish music session at The Cobblestone in Smithfield.
Start Saturday, with a visit to Phoenix Park, one of Europe's largest urban parks. Let your little explorers roam free and spot the park's resident deer. Next, get lost in the pages of time at The Chester Beatty, a museum packed to the brim with world cultures and artistic expressions.
For lunch, indulge in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors at The Cedar Tree. Don't forget to order their Mezze Platter and the kiddos will love experimenting with the different flavors. In the evening, enjoy a picturesque walk along The Grand Canal before heading to The Vintage Kitchen for dinner. It's BYOB and vinyl, so bring your favorite records.
Sunday calls for brunch at Brother Hubbard North, known for their Turkish eggs menemen and freshly baked pastries. Spend the rest of the day exploring Dublin Castle and St. Stephen's Green, or catch a performance at the Abbey Theatre.
As for where to stay? For a trendy pick, I'd recommend The Dean Dublin. If you're after luxury, The Merrion Hotel is your go-to. On a budget? Check out The Davenport. If you're into the BonVoy program, The Shelbourne is a stunner. Hyatt fans, head to Hyatt Centric The Liberties Dublin and the Hilton lovers, Hilton Dublin is your haven.
