Explore the heart of San Francisco in just 2.5 days with this budget-friendly guide highlighting the best eats, unique experiences, and romantic spots.
By Jordan Davis
Hey there, fellow wanderers! Jordan Davis here, your go-to guy for all things travel and adventure. This time, my partner-in-crime and I took a whirlwind trip to San Francisco and boy, did we find some treasures. Let’s dive in, shall we?
FRIDAY
Kick off your weekend at The Ferry Building Marketplace, a foodie's paradise. You could spend all day here, but we suggest grabbing a quick bite from one of the local vendors and soaking in the waterfront views. I mean, who can resist a juicy porchetta sandwich from Roli Roti? Satisfy your sweet tooth at Miette with some adorable French pastries.
Then, head to The Exploratorium for a quirky, hands-on adventure. We had a blast testing our senses and learning new things about the world. The place is brimming with energy, perfect for adrenaline junkies like us!
SATURDAY
Start your day with a quick jog around The Embarcadero for breathtaking views of the bay and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Trust me, it's worth the early morning wake-up call.
Refuel with breakfast at Plow. We recommend trying the lemon ricotta pancakes – they're a game-changer.
Spend your day exploring The Mission District, a vibrant neighborhood filled with street art, unique shops, and eateries. The Clarion Alley Mural Project is a must-see. For lunch, hit up Papalote Mexican Grill for their delicious burritos.
In the evening, relax at Dolores Park with a picnic dinner from Bi-Rite Market. The park offers stunning city views and a laid-back vibe.
SUNDAY
Brunch at Zazie is a San Francisco tradition you won't want to miss. Try their eggs benedict, and thank me later!
Round off your trip with a visit to The Painted Ladies for a quintessential San Fran photo op. Then, take a leisurely stroll around Haight-Ashbury, the birthplace of the hippie movement.
Before you start packing, make sure to grab a scoop (or two) from Bi-Rite Creamery. Say yes to the salted caramel ice cream. You won't regret it.
