Wanderlust in the City of Angels: A Weekend in LA
Navigate the mesmerizing maze of Los Angeles like a local, devouring delicious eats, uncovering hidden gems, and soaking in the authentic vibes over a weekend.
By Jordan Davis
Hey Wanderers! Buckle up because we're about to embark on a whirlwind adventure through the vibrant heart of Southern California - Los Angeles. I've managed to curate the perfect blend of food, hidden gems, and authentic experiences for an unforgettable 2.5-day escapade.
Kick-off your Friday night with some mouthwatering Mexican food at Guisados. Trust me, those tacos are to die for. After the food coma subsides, head to The Comedy Store for a hearty laugh. If you're lucky, you might catch a big name doing a surprise set!
After a good night's rest, Saturday should be reserved for exploring the historic Griffith Observatory. The views are stunning and it's a perfect spot for a romantic moment. As you come down from the hills, grab lunch at In-N-Out Burger. Don't forget to order a 'Double-Double, Animal Style'. A trip to LA isn't complete without it.
In the afternoon, get your shopping fix at Melrose Avenue, and later, enjoy a peaceful sunset walk on Santa Monica Pier. Finish the day off savouring authentic Italian cuisine at Bestia.
Sunday morning is for brunch at Sqirl. Go for the 'Sorrel Pesto Rice' and thank me later. After brunch, get your culture fix at The Getty. Tip: don't miss the stunning Monet collection. End your LA adventure with a quick trip to Venice Beach before catching your flight.
