Hey Wanderers! Buckle up because this weekend, we're diving into the electrifying world of Tokyo, a city that leaves us bewitched with its neon lights, dizzying skyscrapers, and a food scene that’s downright drool-worthy.
Let’s kickstart the weekend vibes on Friday night at Golden Gai, a warren of petite bars, where you can rub shoulders with friendly locals. Don't forget to try their Sake!
Fuel up on Saturday morning with some tantalizing sushi breakfast at the Tsukiji Fish Market. Yes, trading has moved to Toyosu Market, but Tsukiji's outer market is still a foodie's paradise. Hop into Sushi Dai if you don't mind waiting, or try Sushi Bun for a quicker bite.
Next stop, Asakusa. Here, wander through the bustling Nakamise Shopping Street, and don't forget to visit the stunning Senso-ji Temple. Lunch? We're heading to Asakusa Imahan, famous for its succulent Sukiyaki.
Your Saturday afternoon is for exploring the funky Harajuku district. Visit the iconic Takeshita Street and treat your taste buds to a rainbow cotton candy at Totti Candy Factory. Stroll down to Ura-Harajuku for more offbeat shops and stop by Dominique Ansel Bakery for their famous Cronut.
As night falls, brace yourself for Tokyo's nightlife. Roppongi is your best bet for a wild night. Dance your heart out at 1 Oak or sip on a cocktail at R2 Lounge.
Sunday calls for a leisurely stroll in Yoyogi Park. Then, head to Aoyama Flower Market Tea House for a floral-themed brunch. Spend your afternoon shopping in Ginza, and don't miss the Itoya, a store for stationery lovers.
For your last meal in Tokyo, I recommend Yakitori Ton Ton in Yurakucho. Sit under the train tracks and indulge in mouth-watering yakitori (grilled skewers) with a cold beer. It's the perfect close to the weekend.
