Two and a Half Days in Calgary: A Family-friendly Foodie Adventure

An enticing venture through Calgary's most charming spots, from mouthwatering eateries to awe-inspiring attractions.

By Niamh Ashley

Hey there, wanderers! If you're looking for a place that offers a delicious cocktail of stunning landscapes, excellent food, and child-friendly adventures, Calgary is the place to be. Our family embarked on a 2.5-day journey through this lively city's hidden gems and here's a rundown of our favorite spots. Friday Night Fresh off our flight, we decided to kickstart the weekend with River Café, an enchanting spot nestled in the heart of Prince's Island Park. Not only were their locally-sourced dishes a treat to our palates, but the kids were also thrilled with the picturesque park. Saturday We started off with breakfast at Monki Bistro, a trendy spot famed for their chocolate French toast. Post-breakfast, we headed to Calgary Zoo, home to over 900 animals. In the evening, we treated ourselves to an early dinner at Ten Foot Henry, a vegetable-forward spot with fun, family-friendly vibes. Sunday We kicked off the day with a hearty breakfast at OEB Breakfast Co.. Afterwards, we visited Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre. The kids loved the interactive exhibits! We rounded off our trip with lunch at Una Pizza + Wine, which boasts the best pizza in town. After lunch, we headed home, our hearts full and our taste buds satisfied.

End of dispatch.
