Hey there! Last weekend, my better half and I decided to escape the hustle and bustle and jetted off to Albufeira. Let me take you through our little escapade that was as fun as it was romantic.
We kicked off our Friday night at Restaurante Dom Carlos, a cozy spot with gourmet Portuguese cuisine. Don't let the fancy plates fool you, it's surprisingly affordable!
Saturday morning, we started at Praia da Falesia. I mean, what's a trip to Albufeira without hitting the beach? We got there early to snag a perfect spot and it was totally worth it.
For lunch, we headed to Tasca do Viegas, a hidden gem in the old town of Albufeira. It's small but the flavors are mighty.
Now if you love history like us, the Castle of Paderne is a must-visit. A 20-minute drive from the city center, but trust me, the views are breathtaking.
Sunday, we had a delicious brunch at Iguana Cafe. It's trendy, has great food, and the coffee... oh, the coffee!
Now let's talk about where we stayed - TUI BLUE Falesia, a trendy yet budget-friendly hotel. It's steps away from the beach and offers killer sunrise views!
Other hotels we loved - For luxury, Vila Joya is a boutique gem. For BonVoy fans, Pine Cliffs Hotel is perfect. If you're into Hyatt, Hyatt Place Algarve is the place. Lastly, Hilton Vilamoura is great for Hilton loyalists.
